In healthy communities, everyone has something important to contribute. During 2006, the Medica Foundation provided grants of more than $1.5 million, focused on eight essential community health priorities. Many of this year’s programs drew greater participation and generated more effective outcomes because they incorporated meaningful cultural components. View 2006 Annual Report. |

During 2005, one of our key funding priorities was to support ideas for improving behavioral health care services. We also invited proposals for projects designed to promote health advocacy, and improve preventive care services, patient safety and general health, with a special focus on new ideas for meeting the needs of high risk and underserved populations. In 2004, the Medica Foundation funded a great range of projects. Some relied on tried and true precepts, others took approaches that were untested, but showed great promise. We sought to fund programs that encouraged lifestyle change and identified ways to help individuals take better care of their health. View 2004 Annual Report. |
