Deep discounts

We negotiate highly competitive discounts for you throughout the network. And, we protect your fund from overcharges. Some networks pay providers a set fee, even if it's greater than the billed charges. That can result in you paying more than you should. With SelectCare, you pay whichever is less expensive — the set fee or the billed charges.

Optional ancillary networks

The networks below may be purchased to meet the needs of a specific group.

  • National network: Access to one of the nation's largest networks for groups with employees outside the SelectCare service area. Find a Doctor: National

  • Chiropractic: Access to approximately 900 chiropractors in the SelectCare service area.

  • Mental Health/Substance Abuse: Access to nearly 3,000 mental health and substance abuse providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and hospitals in the SelectCare service area.

Optional care management program

Timely information is critical to ensuring that members receive appropriate and effective care when they are hospitalized. At your request, we can deliver inpatient notification reports and medical necessity reviews. You have final authority to accept or reject recommendations to determine the final benefit granted. You may also opt for nurse case management for members with catastrophic illness. Nurses help members by coordinating benefits and care throughout a hospital stay and post-discharge. This helps maximize quality of care and promote cost-effective use of health care.
