Medica Foundation Grant Information Forum June 7th
Addresses Greater Minnesota Funding Priority

St. Cloud, MN, May 18, 2006 — A grant information forum about the Medica Foundation’s 2006 funding priority to address health care needs in greater Minnesota will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006. The event is co-sponsored by the Central Minnesota Foundation, the CentraCare Health Foundation and the Medica Foundation and will be held at the Southside Boys and Girls Club in St. Cloud (1205 6th Ave. South). Two identical sessions will be offered, from 9 a.m. to 10: 30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“Addressing the Health Care Needs in Greater Minnesota” is designed to support programs serving the Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) enrollees and will be of special interest to executive directors, board members and program staff members working in a nonprofit, government or education institution that works with the MHCP population. Glenn Andis, Senior Vice President, Government Programs for Medica, will lead the discussion and provide specific information about the funding priority and target focus areas for proposals. Through its funding, the Medica Foundation hopes to support organizations in developing and implementing innovative programs that address current gaps in access and health care services in greater Minnesota. The Medica Foundation grant application process and forms will also be reviewed.

Reservations and logistical information is available by contacting the Central Minnesota Community Foundation at 320-253-4380, or by e-mail to aprilr@communitygiving.org. Reservations must be made by June 2.

Other questions should be directed to the Medica Foundation at 952-992-3318 or by e-mail at foundation@medica.com.
