DUAL Solution Program Overview

Medica DUAL Solution / MSHO is a voluntary health care management program that is for Minnesota seniors over 65 years who are eligible for:

• Both Part A and B with Medicare
• Medical Assistance benefits

Medica DUAL Solution offers great member service and flexibility. You choose the doctor and care system that are easy for you to visit and we assign the care coordinator who will best meet your needs. Our care coordinators are nurses or social workers, so they know who to call and what to do to arrange other services you may need. DUAL Solution offers:

• Care coordination to make sure you receive the services you need.
• Virtually no paperwork
• View the DUAL Solution Formulary to see if your drugs are covered.
  Please note that this formulary could change during the plan year. If we remove drugs from our formulary, add prior authorization, quantity limits and/or step therapy restrictions on a drug, we must notify affected members of the change at least 60 days before the change becomes effective, or at the time the member requests a refill of the drug, at which time the member will receive a 60-day supply of the drug.

You do not pay a monthly premium for Medica DUAL Solution nor are there any deductibles or copays/coinsurance for medical coverage.

Need Extra Help with Medicare Part D costs?

If you qualify for a Medicare Advantage HMO SNP plan like Medica DUAL Solution, you automatically qualify for Extra Help with your Part D prescription drug costs. There may be deductibles and copays/coinsurance for Part D drugs not covered by Medical Assistance depending on your LIS Level.
