Beyond Original Medicare

While Original Medicare covers much of your heath care expenses, it doesn't cover them all.  You may want to consider purchasing a plan that includes coverage for some of the Medicare-eligible expenses that Medicare does not cover or only partially covers.  You can get additional help covering these expenses through Medicare-sponsored insurance plans:

• Care received during foreign travel
• Permanent residence in an assisted living facility or nursing home
• Most routine physicals
• Charges not considered medically necessary by Medicare
• Care received from medical providers not approved by Medicare
