Wisconsin Rider
Under
Medica Prime SolutionSM , Wisconsin members can choose to add the optional Wisconsin Rider to the Enhanced plan for an additional monthly premium. You also must continue to pay your Part B premium. Under the Wisconsin Rider, members have the following additional coverage (some restrictions do apply).
The Wisconsin Rider provides coverage for certain coinsurance amounts not covered as a member in the Medica Prime Solution Enhanced Plan. In addition, the rider provides additional coverage as follows:
- Inpatient Hospital Services: Medicare eligible hospital inpatient services once you have exhausted the Medicare lifetime limit of 60 reserve days.
- Skilled Nursing Facility Services: Coverage for 30 days of skilled nursing care that is not covered by Medicare (per Medicare benefit period). No prior hospital stay is required, but the services must be medically necessary, as certified by your attending Medica contracted physician every seven days. The facility must be a licensed skilled care nursing facility and a Medica contracted provider.
