Medica Solo is designed to be very affordable with young adults (ages 19-29) in mind, but it’s available to Minnesota residents from age 3 months through age 64. Medica Solo offers several immediate benefits (including for office calls, prescription drugs, preventive care, and eyewear).
Medica Direct HSASM is a high-deductible health plan that lets you set aside dollars in a tax-preferred optional health savings account (HSA). These funds pay for deductibles and other qualified out-of-pocket medical costs. You pay lower monthly premiums and receive tax advantages, while still getting prescription benefits, preventive care and major medical coverage. Medica Direct HSA is available to Minnesota and South Dakota residents from age 3 months through age 64. The primary applicant must be age 18 or older.
Medica EncoreSM is available on a self-only basis. If you’re an adult, you can buy it for yourself or a dependent. Medica Encore is designed with persons age 50-64 in mind, but it’s available to Minnesota residents from age 3 months through age 64. Medica Encore is a high deductible health plan that offers immediate coverage for preventive care, coupled with a high deductible that provides protection of hard-earned assets.
Medica Direct ValueSM is a traditional health plan with a wide range of deductible options (from $150 to $5,000 per individual, up to three times that amount for families). Medica Direct Value is available to Minnesota residents from age 3 months through age 64. The primary applicant must be age 18 or older.
Medica Direct Short-TermSM offers quality health care coverage for 30, 60 or 90 days. This plan provides temporary coverage for individuals and families to avoid the financial risk associated with major medical expenses. Available to Minnesota and South Dakota residents from age 3 months through age 64.
Self-employed married individuals can often significantly reduce health costs with a Section 105 Medical Reimbursement Plan.
