Park Nicollet First with Medica

To receive your highest level of benefits, visit providers—including specialists and hospitals—who are in the Park Nicollet First network.

Hospital Access

As a Park Nicollet First member, you have access to Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital and St. Francis Regional Medical Center. In addition, Park Nicollet has relationships with Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Children's Hospital – Minneapolis, as well as Fairview Ridges Hospital and Maple Grove Hospital (both for pediatric and obstetric/gynecology services only). To receive in-network benefits at one of these hospitals, a Park Nicollet First network provider must specifically direct you to obtain care at that hospital.

Print a Directory

To get the most up-to-date look at who’s in your plan’s provider network, use the search tool below. You can create and print a custom directory of your results. Just complete your search and choose “Create Directory.”

Travel Coverage

This network includes many provider locations in the Twin Cities 11-county metro area. When you travel outside the Medica service area (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western Wisconsin), you can get in-network care from a provider in the Travel Program Network.*  Use the search tool below to look for these providers.

If you travel within the Medica service area but see a provider outside your plan's network, your out-of-network benefits will apply. Emergency care is always covered at your in-network benefit level.

How Travel Coverage Works

Receiving care from a provider in the Travel Network is just like receiving care within the Medica service area. When you visit a participating provider, simply show your member ID card. If you have a deductible, copayment or coinsurance, it will apply. Travel Network providers will file claims for you, so you won’t have any additional paperwork.

* Chiropractic services are not included in the Travel Program. If you receive these services outside the Medica service area, your out-of-network benefits would apply.

Virtual Care

Virtual care visits, also known as online care or e-visits, are a quick and easy way to get care for some common illnesses. Through your computer, you can connect with a provider to get a diagnosis and treatment, and even a prescription when you need one.

Common conditions treated include:

  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Cold / flu
  • Ear infections
  • Pink eye
  • Sinus infection
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Other non-emergency health concerns

With a virtual care visit, you:

  • Save time by avoiding a trip to the doctor's office
  • Initiate the visit when it works for you — you don't need an appointment
  • Get care when you need it – visits are often available after clinic hours, sometimes even 24/7

Virtual care is not offered by all providers, so check with your provider to see if it's an option for you.*

Providers with virtual care include:
