You'll need information found on your Medica ID card to register for mymedica.com. This includes your group or policy number (5 or 6 digits) and your member ID number (9 digits).

If you do not have an ID card, but you do know your group or policy number, you can register for mymedica.com using your Social Security number in place of your member ID number.

If you have already registered and used mymedica.com before but are now having trouble accessing your account, your group or policy number may have changed.

Check your current ID card to see whether your group or policy number has changed. If it has changed, you'll need to re-register on mymedica.com using your new group or policy number.

Depending on your employer and your health care plan, you may receive your ID card as early as two months before your Medica coverage begins. You can register for mymedica.com as soon as you receive your ID card, but full information about your new benefits will not be available on the site until the date that your coverage begins.

To balance state and federal regulations, Medica created a privacy policy that requires family members age 13 or older to have their own mymedica.com account. Children age 13 and older will need to register for mymedica using their name and date of birth in order to view their medical claims.

Claims for children under age 12 will display on mymedica when you or your spouse are logged in to the website.

Children who are age 12 will receive information in the mail about their health plan benefits.

Due to state and federal regulations, spouses and partners must register separately on mymedica.com.

Because your mymedica.com account contains personal health information, if you are locked out of your account, you will not be able to get back in immediately.

To have access restored, call toll-free Technical Support at 1-877-844-4999, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central Time. When calling, please be prepared to provide your Social Security number.

Five to seven days after contacting Technical Support, you will receive a letter in the mail that contains a security code that will unlock your account. Once your account is unlocked, you can reset your password. Be sure to store this information in a safe place. These steps help ensure that your personal information is protected against fraud and identity theft.
