Health club reimbursement

The Fit Choices by Medica ℠ program offers an extra incentive to employees to work out regularly when they meet the monthly attendance requirement at a network fitness club.

For employers based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin: Fit Choices is included with fully insured plans and is a buy-up option for self-funded employers.

For employers based in Iowa and Nebraska: Fit Choices is available for purchase by large group fully insured plans and self-funded employers.

Amplifon Hearing Health Care is offering Medica commercial members a discount on hearing aids from the industry's leading manufacturers. Members who are interested in taking advantage of this offer should call Amplifon at the number listed in the attached flier.

Preventive care

Preventive services can help members from having health problems or catch potential problems early on. Preventive care can include things like blood pressure screening, immunizations, prenatal care and routine checkups (sometimes called a physical).

Medica CallLink

Medica CallLink® gives employees access to a wide range of services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Employees can call the toll-free number to speak with an experienced adviser or registered nurse.

For employers based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin: Medica CallLink is included with fully insured plans and a standard offering for self-funded employers.

For employers based in Iowa and Nebraska: Medica CallLink is available for purchase by large fully insured plans and self-funded plans (not available for small group fully insured plans).

 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Specialists provide support when employees are dealing with personal, legal, financial or workplace issues. EAP phone lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

For employers based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin: EAP is included with fully insured plans and is available for purchase by self-funded employers.

For employers based in Iowa and Nebraska: EAP is included with small group fully insured plans and is available for purchase by large fully insured plans and self-funded employers.

Referrals

A referral is a written recommendation from a member's primary care provider to see or receive care from another specialist outside a member's designated care system.

This only applies to members with Medica Elect or Medica Essential plans.
