“Medica is a welcoming and inclusive company with a clear commitment to supporting its employees. Knowing they value my work and my community makes me proud and grateful to be here.”

Vani Karun, IT Program Manager

“I’ve always been a DEI advocate because of my Indian ethnicity. So it comes naturally to me to see everyone as one and treat them equally. I’m also happy we have Employee Resource Groups to help us learn about new cultures while becoming more empathic and understanding of each other.”

“Working here for the last eight years has been amazing. I'm supported, encouraged, and challenged in the best ways. Leadership has always embraced me and created an inclusive and professional environment that makes me never want to leave.”

“Creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture ensures our team reflects the backgrounds, experiences, and cultures of the communities we serve. Together, we can make a difference.”

– Missy Durant, Chief People Officer

Our journey: Turning awareness into action

We’ve made an intentional commitment to advance DEI in everything we do.

Ethnically diverse employees now make up 23% of our workforce, with a steady year-over-year increase

Women represent 71% of professional positions and nearly 50% of officer positions

Six Employee Resource Groups created

All executives are required to participate in the Intercultural Development Inventory assessment

Employee Resource Groups

Our Employee Resource Groups are volunteer groups of employees who share a common diversity characteristic or life experience. They celebrate the voices of employees with different backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives. And they create space for those employees — and their supporters, known as allies — to be valued, heard, and engaged.
