Easily renew your plan

Create an account below.

See if you can pay less next year

If you want to keep your plan, make sure your income is updated. We'll take care of the rest. Any updates, plan cancellations, or plan changes need to be completed by the subscriber of your plan and submitted before Dec. 15, 2023 to be effective Jan. 1. Any changes completed after Dec. 15 will be effective Feb. 1, 2024.

If you have questions about how your tax credit or subsidy amount is determined or how it applies to your taxes, please call the Marketplace at 1 (800) 318-2596 (TTY: 711).

Your health insurance ID card
You'll get new ID cards in the mail before your new coverage starts. Please use your new ID cards starting January 1, 2023.
Your auto pay plan

Your auto pay plan will roll over into next year. If you're cancelling your Medica plan and signed up for auto pay, we recommend you cancel it, too. This way you can avoid a payment withdraw if we don’t receive and process your cancellation from the Marketplace before our automatic withdraw. There are two ways to cancel:

Sign in to your Medica member account > Manage + Pay Bills and then follow the steps to cancel payments.

Call Medica Member Services at 1-888-592-8211 (TTY: 711).

Financial

What happens if I don’t pay my premium on time?
Like other bills, you need to pay your premium on time each month. If not, your coverage could end. Your premium is due by the first of each month. If your premium is late, you’ll have some time to pay the past due amount before your coverage ends. This is called a grace period.

I’ve gotten two invoices. What does that mean?
It means we have two policies set up for your 2023 coverage. Make sure to cancel the policy you no longer need.

Why does my premium amount change from one year to the next?
Each year, insurers calculate the cost of paying health care claims as well as their operating costs. Because these costs change each year, so will your premium. These cost changes help ensure we can keep paying for your health care and give our members high-quality service.

How much do I have to pay for my January premium?
To see your monthly health insurance bill and make a payment, sign in to your secure member site > Manage + Pay Bills and then follow the steps to make your payment.

Why are my January and February invoices late?
We’re delaying our billing until the 17th of December and January, so we can capture most plan changes made during Open Enrollment. This means you probably will not get your invoices before the first of the month

Even though our billing process is changing for January and February 2023, it’s important to pay your premium on time each month. If your premium is late, you’ll have some time to pay the past due amount before your coverage ends. This is called a grace period.
To see your monthly health insurance bill and make a payment, sign in to your secure member site > Manage + Pay Bills and then follow the steps to make your payment.

How we pay agents + brokers

With the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA), health insurance companies offering individual health insurance coverage must tell you how much they pay brokers for helping someone enroll in a health insurance plan. You can review this information on our website before you finalize your enrollment or renew your plan. To learn more about this disclosure or to see how much your broker earned with your enrollment, go to Medica.com/AgentPayment.
